Ditch the department stores, log off and shop local this Christmas

Catford Christmas Food Market

On Sunday 25th November (10am – 4pm), Team Catford will be hosting the first Christmas edition of the Catford Food Market. As well as some of our usual traders we’ll be joined by other festive stalls. From Filipino street food to Jamaican rum cake, our local traders will be adding a festive twist to help get you into the Christmas spirit.

As well as winter warming fare, there will hand-tied wreaths, bouquets, as well as some rather unique canine accessories to make sure your pooch stands out from the crowd.

Catford Cornucopia , Catford’s very own gift shop, will be open as usual, selling Catford goodies from local artists Hazel Nicolls, The Big Gay Al and Chitter Chatter Arts as well as its own range of Catford merchandise including the coveted Catford hoodie.

Music will be festive - but also pedal-powered so if you want to hear your favourite tunes, you’ll have to hop on a bike and make it happen.

The pedalling continues with our free splatter art bike and as well as bauble and mosaic making by local artists, Charlotte Gainey and Tamara Froud.

Team Catford will be at the market talking to locals about the changes set to happen in the town centre alongside the Really Local Group who’ll be speaking about the new cinema set to open in Catford shopping centre next year.

The festive finale will take place at 4pm with the characters from this year’s panto Aladdin at the Broadway Theatre turning on the Christmas tree lights.
